The Scholars

The Mission:

Is to provide entrepreneurship programs for boys and girls from age 9-16.

The Vision:

Is to help increase academic skills and build entrepreneurship experience and skills.

The Goal:

Is to support school age students to gain skills and knowledge for success in the world of business.

The Guiding Principles:

Are organized effectiveness, accountability, transparency, consensus, collaborations, and organizational cooperation.

Spreading Knowledge

Based upon the leadership and guidance of our qualified and caring mentors, since July 19, 2014, “The Scholars” Have successfully completed a series of entrepreneurial workshops, based upon an award winning book, entitled: ‘Success For Teens.”  The central focus of the workshops was geared toward teaching four basic life-skills and business principles: 1) Citizenship skills 2) Business skills 3) Leadership skills , and 4) The arts. Now we are looking to grow and help more young men and women. Join us on our journey.

Get To Know Us

Under the direction of the same aforementioned mentors, the scholars, during the year of 2014, 2015, and 2016 have participated in a number of annual Texarkana community events, field trips, and hands on business endeavors, which include the following:

  • Participants of the annual Debonaire-Pandora holiday fashion revue and book collection

  • Participated in the annual Trahc African American Committee (TAAC), African voice: An evening of performance with special moments for Dr. Martin Luther King JR., Program

  • Participated in the annual Trahc African American Committee (TAAC), special afternoon, Regional Celebration of African American Artist Exhibit, African American in STEM program

  • TAAC Reader’s Theater, Voice Of Freedom: Overcoming barriers

  • TAAC Children’s book and art project

  • Participants of the NAACP Kool School Initiative Programs

  • Field Trip: Better Creations

  • Participated in the Filming/Production of their own video
